With the advent of antibiotics in 1940s, improved oral and dental hygiene, and more aggressive surgical approaches for treatment, the risk of death due to Ludwig’s angina has significantly reduced. So I hope you caught a strang of bacteria that isn’t multiple resistant against the appropriate antibiotics. If push comes to shove they could always test those bacteria first and get you your specific antibiotics.

    1. They have blood cultures cooking, and throat cultures. Until those are back they are just using a couple big guns. Today that means big expense. Sandy is the one in the house with all the medical expense. If mine approaches hers, I might have to weite another book.
