D. E. Larsen, DVM
Today we will be attending the celebration of life for Bill Sieg.
Bill was my second client when we moved to Sweet Home, calling for help with his poisoned dog before we had completed moving into our well stuffed two-bedroom apartment. He became a friend and a lifelong client.
Below find a link to his obituary in The New Era, Sweet Home’s weekly newspaper and links to a couple of my stories about Bill.

Heck of a gentleman. Too bad they don’t make them like that anymore.

If I remember right, Bill was a beekeeper, too.

Just returned from the service. Held on their farm where they have a large farm pond with an elaborate patio area. Bill had been in the Navy during WWII. He enlisted at 16 in 1943. The Sweet Home VFW gave the military honors. Bill raised springer spaniels, and when the honor guard started shooting, during their salute, the dogs went crazy, running around the pond looking for the birds to fall.

After reading these posts, I put Bill on my Farewell Salutes for tomorrow. I hope you don’t mind.
